Merci Beaucoup

I read an amazing article the other day that summed up something I’ve always believed: being grateful makes you happier. It sounds weird, but it’s true: the article talked about giving thanks, and how people who wrote letters of gratitude to family and friends, even for inconsequential reasons, felt better with themselves and happier with their lives.
Inspired by the article, I decided to write a short letter to a friend, telling her that I value and appreciate her. I loved seeing the letter uplift her mood, but more than that, I realized how important it is to voice the gratitude that I so often keep to myself. So here goes: I’m grateful for my amazing and supportive family, and my hysterically funny and loyal friends. I’m grateful to be alive in this beautiful world and to get to experience what the world has to offer.
Counting my blessings makes me realize how lucky I am, and not to take the little things for granted. With that, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! May we all have what to be thankful for.
xx, Chaya

  1. This is a beautiful reminder to put a smile on one´s face more often! There´s always something to be thankful for, because it´s the small things that makes life wonderful. Sounds cliché. But I truly believe that. Merci beaucoup à toi encore une fois.
